Summary:

The Sr. Manager, Field Reimbursement (FRM) is the portfolio-wide, regional, field-based liaison for the Seagen Secure Patient Support Program. This position will provide information and education to allow non-clinical healthcare providers (HCPs) to assist their patients in accessing Seagen’s products. The FRM will support patient access through a strong understanding of Seagen Secure’s coverage, access, and reimbursement support programs, as well as act as the local market SME for market access trends, and appropriate coding and billing education. The successful Field Reimbursement Manager works closely with patient access operations, field sales colleagues, market access, and other commercial teams.

Principal Responsibilities:

The Sr. Manager, Field Reimbursement (FRM) will be responsible for maintaining subject matter expertise in:

  • Seagen’s patient support programs, including enrollment process, patient support offerings, and sharing compliant case information for Seagen Secure-enrolled patients
  • Patient access issue identification and resolution
  • Common payer PA requirements, claims processes, and other coverage and reimbursement market trends both regionally and nationally

The FRM will establish relationships with appropriate non-clinical HCP offices to assist in resolving payer coverage issues that may be barriers to Seagen’s products in a manner that is compliant with applicable company policies. In addition to serving as a key member of the Patient Access Team, the Field Reimbursement SR Manager will develop and maintain communication with field sales, market access, operations, and other appropriate stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of industry/relevant professional experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotech or Life Sciences industry; with at least 3 years in oncology
  • Deep understanding of commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid coverage and reimbursement models for buy & bill and oral products
  • Demonstrated self-starter with ability to appropriately manage time and multiple priorities
  • Inquisitive and solutions-minded, with genuine drive to support access for patients
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to effectively escalate issues/concerns, as well as how to most effectively communicate up, down and across the organization orally and in writing
  • Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oncology business management, billing and coding certifications, and related experience preferred

Travel Requirements:

  • Expected to regularly conduct both virtual and live interactions with appropriate nonclinical oncology personnel
  • 50%+ travel, with some anticipated overnights. Amount of travel may vary by region needs

The hiring pay range for this position is $146,000 to $189,200 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role.   Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
