Summary

This leadership position requires you to understand key Clinical business processes, maintain the strategic technology roadmap for all Veeva Clinical. The expectation is to understand the Veeva Clinical landscape and act as a Product owner for the Veeva Vault Clinical across multiple modules – eTMF, CTMS, Study Start up and Site Connect. This position will serve as the Clinical process expert and act as a liaison to ensure business priorities are met.

As a key leader of Business Analyst organization, working closely with Business partners and Demand Management organization helps Veeva Vault Clinical projects, initiatives, and programs to reach its maturity through stronger technical and process understanding.

This position sets the strategy and objectives for the Information Technology Business Solutions team with a specific focus on Veeva Vault Clinical Product at Seagen in support of the Business functions and IT long term and short-term strategies, partnering across the organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing strategy for Veeva Vault Clinical application management aligning processes, priorities with close collaboration with the Product team, PMO, Change management and other Global IT technical / functional groups. As a key leader within Business Solutions, you will also leverage key operational management metrics to drive continuous improvement, champion automation to drive efficiency, and ensure the organization meets related enterprise business targets and objectives.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for cross organizations and vendors relationship globally
  • Partner with IT Business partner, System Analyst, PMO, and IT to deliver solutions within Veeva Vault Clinical
  • Lead Clinical strategic planning, tactical execution, and operationalization of programs and complex efforts aligned with the portfolio, organization objectives, compliant with regulatory guidelines
  • Active participant in portfolio activities and in the creation of business and financial cases
  • Accountable for overall solutions quality and success through development and maintenance of sustainable end-to-end processes, documentation, and adoption targets; supervise implementation teams as needed
  • Guide technical & architectural discussion that impacts user experience
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve effectiveness of the team, IT, or business organization
  • Partner with portfolio team to lead across organizations and vendors relationship to drive alignment and delivery of technology solutions for the Commercial organization
  • Responsible for the quality of outputs and operational processes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and scale processes that align with organizational goals
  • Manage and Mentor Business System Analyst and Technical teams in product roadmap, program, and implementation activities
  • Delegate and supervise the work of vendors and contractors to meet business needs while abiding by situational guidelines
  • Evaluates business processes, identifies needs, and develops strategies to maximize opportunities for a specific business function
  • Influences leadership team in addressing business imperatives in the most efficient way
  • Lead a team of internal and external analysts to provide application support and delivery for Business applications
  • Strategic thinking and road mapping in coordination with Business Partners and business leaders
  • Drive productivity improvements across Business Analyst organization with constant measurement and continuous improvement

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in implementing and supporting Veeva Clinical across multiple modules – eTMF, CTMS, Study Start up and Site Connect
  • Staff/resource planning and management experience with employees, contractors, and temporary labor
  • Strong leadership and communication skills (including presentation skills) with success in influencing all levels cross-functionally
  • Experience with applicable regulatory standards including GxP strongly preferred
  • Experience in the biopharma industry preferred
  • Global understanding of compliance requirements and compliance including SoX, Information Security, Privacy
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple projects or activities simultaneously
  • Ability to establish and manage multiple competing priorities and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work in partnership with others in a collaborative or advisory role
  • Proven ability to drive organizational change in a complex, high-pressure environment
  • Experience developing and managing IT related vendor contracts with knowledge of common licensing, support and maintenance constructs preferred
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting or management role managing both CAPEX and OPEX preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Veeva Vault Certification
  • Agile / Scrum Master training / certification
  • Product Management experience / certification

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 12+ years’ experience or Master’s degree with 10+ years’ experience or equivalent
  • Preferred to have an MBA
