Summary:
Seagen is seeking a highly motivated individual for a HR Specialist role to manage the day-to-day employee lifecycle processes on the HR Operations team. This is a great opportunity to make a difference for our employees by addressing their queries and requests. The HR Specialist is responsible for supporting global HR operational processes within the lifecycle, respond to employee queries, process audits, process documentation and streamlining process workflows. As an individual contributor, this person is responsible for ensuring process SLAs are maintained, manage employee data quality, build operational efficiencies, and enable a positive employee experience. Responsibilities also include partnering with cross-functional HR teams to support HR cyclic processes and projects. The role will allow one to make an impact for our employees and join our vision of improving lives of people with cancer.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Complete operations work in HR systems across the employee lifecycle. This includes, but is not limited to onboarding, data management, transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
- Triage employee queries and provide timely responses ensuring requests are managed according to SLAs through the HR ticketing systems (ServiceNow).
- Manage and audit employee data in HR systems to improve data accuracy.
- Proficient understanding of HR policies and programs to respond accurately to the employee queries.
- Flag pain points and make recommendations to improve processes. Identify opportunities for quick wins and drive those forward.
- Listen, know, and understand the voice of the HR customer and represent that to other teams and groups when necessary.
- Assist with building, implementing, and maintaining effective and efficient HR business processes.
- Support HR projects around implementing new technology or improving HR processes by participating in requirements gathering, process design, testing and launch activities.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to develop, implement, support, and review all policies, procedures, and systems.
- Support internal and external process audits by providing documentation, participating in the audit walk throughs and work on remediation plans.
- Partner with HR Services leadership and internal stakeholders to recommend and build out new or expanded service offerings within HR Services, and ensure success of these new programs.
- Drive process improvements that support our employees, our and stakeholder needs by improving process efficiency and quality.
- Support HR Operations leaders in driving the strategy around standardizing and centralizing processes.
- Ability to work with close attention to detail and to maintain high standards of confidentiality. Use of sound judgment on sensitive issues, along with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to run reports and manipulate data Excel including creating pivot tables and utilizing V lookup.
- Monitor local laws and regulations; ensure our Employee Handbook and policies are always up to date.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of HR associate or specialist experience in a fast-paced organization.
- Experience of working in HRIS systems (SAP SuccessFactors is preferred).
- Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, human capital management systems, case management and knowledge management tools (ServiceNow is preferred).
- Experience of working on cross functional HR projects.
- Excellent decision making, critical thinking skills, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build/foster strong trusting relationships, and develop solutions to achieve results.
- Understanding of lean principles of process management and improvement.
- Strong work ethic, results focused, attention to detail, not afraid to roll up sleeves and pitch in.
- Highly organized, able to prioritize and work through multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to effectively partner with different levels of the organization and across functions to achieve results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Thrives in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a positive work environment.
- Solutions oriented approach to with demonstrated ability to balance HR and business objectives.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required. HR certifications preferred.
