Denver Museum of Nature and Science
-- The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is the Rocky Mountain region’s leading resource for
informal science education. A variety of exhibitions, programs, and activities help Museum
visitors experience the natural wonders of Colorado, Earth, and the universe.
Education, Colorado Department of (CDE) -- CDE
serves Colorado's 178 local school districts, providing them with leadership, consultation and
administrative services on a statewide and regional basis.
Intel in Your Community -
Colorado -- Intel implements a wide variety of education programs
that promote math, science, engineering and technology in Colorado schools. These programs assist
in developing the workforce of the future and promoting educational opportunities among females
and minorities. Intel also supports the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), the
world's largest pre-college science competition.

Achievement -- MESA is a program designed to increase the numbers of African American,
Hispanic, American Indian, and women students in mathematics, engineering, and science
careers.
University of Colorado at Boulder
Biological Sciences
Initiative -- Funded by the Howard Huges Medical Institute, the Biological Sciences
Initiative enhances science education for the K-12 community. The program offers professional
development workshops for teachers that provides hands-on activities and incorporate an
inquiry-based style of teaching. In addition, the program provides a "mini-grant" program where
teachers can apply for an Outreach Award to purchase durable science equipment for their
classroom.

listing of educator resources at CU-Boulder.
CU Science
from CU -- Science From CU presentations, which are highly praised by Colorado teachers,
present K-12 students with uncommon opportunities for learning science concepts and are effective
in stimulating interest in science. Program topics include biosciences, physical sciences and
science processing skills. Hour-long presentations on a specific topic are conducted by an
experienced presenter using a package of specially developed materials.

Education: GK-12 Fellows at CU Boulder -- This program is a collaboration between research
scientists at CU-Boulder and teachers and students in the Boulder Valley School District(BVSD)
to enhance literacy, math, and science skills using an interdisciplinary approach with an
emphasis on the adaptation, implementation, and enrichment of FOSS modules for middle school
students.
Science Discovery
-- Science Discovery is an experience-based education outreach program of the University of
Colorado at Boulder School of Education with the mission of stimulating scientific interest,
understanding, and literacy among Colorado's youth, teachers, and families.
University of Colorado Health Sciences Center
Colorado Rural Health
Scholars Program (CoRHSP) -- CoRHSP is a non-profit residence-based science and medical
program primarily designed for rural students interested in careers in the health sciences with
special consideration is given to minority and underprivileged students.
Our Area Health
Education Centers (AHEC) -- This program annually accepts 100 high school juniors and
seniors from across Colorado to focus on community-based, primary health care career options.
Summer Cancer Fellowships
-- Summer Cancer Fellowships provide opportunities for nearly 100 high school students and
college undergraduates to work in the School's research laboratories and clinics during summer
months. Funded by the National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society Colorado
Division, many of the "summer fellows" are underrepresented minorities.
Virtual Student Fellowship
-- This site, funded by the National Cancer Institute, introduces high school and college students
to the biology underpinning cancer research. Students may use these modules to prepare for actual
participation in the Student Cancer ResearchFellowship Program at the University of Colorado
Health Sciences Center.
